Shanthi Bal Gurukul, the 25th Bal Gurukul of IDF was inaugurated at the premises of Sacred Heart Upgraded Primary School, Austin Town, Bangalore on the 1st December 2010.
Rev. Sr. Juliet, the mother superior of Bon Secours Society of the Sisters of Our Lady of Bon Secours (OLB) appreciated IDF’s move in expanding Bal Gurukuls and joining hands with OLB.IDF Social Ambassadors - Mrs. Prabha Shankar, Mrs. Shobha Ramakrishnan and Master Nishchith expressed happiness as they witnessed the inauguration ceremony.
Dr. S. Franklin introduced the dignitaries to the students and appreciated the outstanding support rendered by Sisters of Our Lady of Bon Secours. He felt happy and proud to join hands with them in starting Shanthi Bal Gurukul.Mr. C.A. Mathew and Mr. Samuel Vincent from IDF exhorted the students to make best use of the Bal Gurukul.
The student artistes from the school performed Bharatnatayam and Kolattam and made the event a memorable one.Earlier Mrs. Christy, Senior Teacher welcomed the gathering while Sr. Laransa Mary, Headmistress of Sacred Heart Upgraded Primary School, proposed a vote of thanks.
