Felicitation for 10th Grade Toppers

Indian Development Foundation (IDF) felicitated the Class 10 toppers in Malad area in Mumbai where IDF Bal Gurukuls projects are in operation. The felicitation function was organized on 28th June 2014 at Bharatmata School, Malwani, Malad (W), Mumbai.




The tenth class (SSC Board) toppers received IDF Meritorious Certificate and a special gift on their scoring excellent marks and securing 1st position in the school. Team IDF and all the Principals congratulated the achievers and wished them best of career ahead.




Dr. Narayan Iyer from IDF congratulated the Principals of various schools for the excellent social partnership and success achieved through Bal Gurukul projects. Mrs. Geetha Jayakumar, IDF Social Ambassador presented the cheques for Bal Gurukul projects.  The Principals appreciated the Bal Gurukul and various social projects of IDF which are of great help for student development.  


Team IDF and volunteers from different colleges co-ordinated the event.

IDF Bal Gurukuls are a success proven model for student development. IDF has 151 Bal Gurukuls in India.

IDF Social Ambassador Mrs. Rajammal motivates students.



Mrs. Rajammal, IDF Social Ambassador conducted a motivation prog. for the student’s and teacher’s of St. Ann’s Hr. Sec. School, Aruvankadu and Brindavan Public School, Wellington She spoke on the 3 D’s, self confidence and specially asked the students that English language is a must and one needs to excel in it a successful career.   



The Headmistress of St. Ann’s School, Rev. Sr. Nirmala and the Principal of Brindavan Public School were present for the programme. Nearly 300 students attended the programme.

Dr. AP Jayaraman's SCIENCE TALK @ Chennai Schools

Dr. A.P. Jayaraman, Nuclear and Management Scientist and Trustee of Indian Development Foundation (IDF) spoke to the students of SBOA School, Chennai, Srimathi Lakshmi Ammal Mat. HSS, Chrompet, Chennai and Little Flower Mat. HSS, Mougaliwakkam, Chennai.
The session aimed at inculcating scientific temper in young minds. The students got a new approach for learning science and scientific aspects of academics. IDF appreciates the efforts of the school and administration for co-ordinating the entire programme. Also thanks to all the students for contributing for social causes.

IDF receives Blood Donors Award.


On the occasion of World Blood donors day 14th June 2014, An award was presented to IDF recognizing our efforts in organizing blood donation camps for the government blood banks and hospitals. 



The award was presented by Dr.T Rajiah , Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for health and family welfare, Mr. Joshi IAS Principal Secretary Health Telangana, Mr.L V Subramanyam IAS Principal Secretary Health Andhra Pradesh and Dr. Suvarna Additional Director SBTC.




This award is dedicated to all the donors, corporates and colleges who have volunteered to come forward to donate blood and equipments. This is also a recognition for the entire Indian Development Foundation (IDF) team, IDF social ambassadors, volunteers and supporters.




All have worked hard to ensure that the poor patients get blood free of cost in government hospitals and always ensure there is sufficient stock of blood in government blood banks. This was possible with all your support. Thank you one and all.

Road Safety Awareness at Vasu Organics, Hyderabad

Road Safety Club and Indian Development Foundation conducted a road safety awareness program to all the field staff of Vasu Organics in Leonia Resorts on 13th June 2014. The initiative taken by the management of Vasu organics to create more awareness for their field staff as they are always travelling and constantly on the move and ensuring the safety of their employees is appreciable.

Nielsen Global Impact Day 12th June 2014, Andheri, Mumbai.

Nielsen Team visited St. Catherine's Home and School at Andheri (West), Mumbai on 12th June 2014 as part of their Global Impact Day organized annually. Indian Development Foundation's education projects (Bal Gurukuls) were selected for the Nielsen Global Impact Day. 



The social champions from Nielsen visited St. Catherine's School @ Andheri, Mumbai as part of their global social impact day. 



The visiting team distributed note-books, stationary items, umbrellas, food and gifts. The team spent a good amount of time with the children and created a social impact. Performance by Drum Cafe Team was a wonderful treat for the children. Several children in the Bal Gurukuls got benefited by this process.

IDF felicitates Bal Gurukul students.

Indian Development Foundation felicitates students of Ketty Valley Bal Gurukul and Vivekananda Bal Gurukul for their achievements, in 8th, 9th, 10th and 12th standards on the 12th of June, 2014.  Mr. Narasimhan and Mrs. Indira Narasimhan of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Gill Nagar, Chennai were the Chief Guest for the function.  



Earlier Mrs. Mano Ranjit Lad of IDF welcomed the gathering.  There cultural programmes by the students of Vivekananda Bal Gurukul, Denalai and Ketty Valley Bal Gurukul , Ethumakandi.

Ladies from Hethaiammnan and Indira Gandhi Women Empowerment Programme were also present.  Speaking on the occasion Mrs. Rajammal IDF, Social Ambassador asked students to improve and develop their skills. Prizes were distributed for the best students.

Indian Development Foundation's education project was selected for the Nielsen Global Impact Day. The social champions from Nielsen visited the location as part of their global social impact day. 


The visiting team distributed note-books, food and gifts. The team spent a good amount of time with the children and created a social impact. The children were taken to Birla Planetarium. Nielsen Global Impact Day - 2014. Nielsen Team visited our project at Lok Seva Sangam at Bainganwadi, Govandi, Mumbai on 12th June 2014 as part of their Global Impact Day organized annually. 





Indian Development Foundation's health project was selected for the Nielsen Global Impact Day. The social champions from Nielsen visited the location as part of their global social impact day. 


The visiting team distributed note-books, stationery, umbrellas, food and gifts. The team spent a good amount of time with the children and created a social impact. Performance by the children- Copeira form of Brazilian martial arts was enjoyed by everyone. Several children in got benefited by this process.

World Environment Day 2014 @ Marina Beach, Chennai.

Indian Development Foundation organized an environment awareness rally at Marina Beach, Chennai to mark the World Environment Day 2014. Chennai Post Master General Mr. Mervin Alexander was the Chief Guest who flagged off the rally from the Light House. “People from all walks of life should know about the environmental issues and come together to keep our environment clean and safe' observed Mr. Alexander. 
















World Environment Day theme for 2014 is “Raise your voice not the sea level" and many countries are facing threat on increase in the sea level, observed Mr. Sreeram, Manager of IDF. We have to protect our environment and gift it to the next generation. Let's pledge to plant a tree on our birthday and add over a billion tree every year, he added. The participating volunteers carried placards with environment protection messages and also distributed 500 saplings to the general public and morning walkers in the Marina Beach. The rally concluded at the Labour Statue.
