Goa spreads goodness : IDF recognizes social supporters

The Goa Chapter of Indian Development Foundation organized an annual awards event to recognize the support from various educational institutions and educational projects in Goa for excellence in social responsibility. . The function was held at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao on 19th Aug. 2016, 

Chief Guest - Ms. Alina Saldanha (Minister for Rural Development & Science and Technology, Govt. of Goa) and Guest of Honour - Rev. Fr. Lucio Dias (Episcopal Vicar) and Ms. Rose D'Souza (Dy. Director of Education, Govt. of Goa) - appreciated the social responsibility initiatives of IDF in Goa region as they presented honours to Principals, Teachers, Students and Volunteers. 

Team IDF - Dr. Narayan B. Iyer, Dr. S. Franklin, Mr. C.A.Mathew and Mr. Mario Quadros - thanked all the supporters and exhorted students to spread the message of goodness. Invocation Prayer dance by St. Anthony's School, Veroda  - National Anthem by Regina Matyrum High School, Assolna and Volunteering by Our Lady of Rosary, Fatorda.  Of the 200 IDF Bal Gurukuls in India, 9 Bal Gurukuls in Goa.  IDF also runs a women empowerment project in Goa (12 in India).

IDF Grants/ Awards function @ Tamil Nadu & Kerala

Indian Development Foundation released Grants to leprosy/ TB and education projects in Tamil Nadu and Kerala Regions on 03-08-2016 at Bhavan's Auditorium, Mylapore, Chennai. Principals, Teachers and Students from various schools were honoured for their excellent social support. Mother Teresa Memorial Award 2015-16 for TN Region was presented to SBOA School & Junior College. Chennai.
Dr. Y. S. Rajan, Distinguished Scientist & former Prof at ISRO and Dept of Space was the Chief Guest. Guests of Honour - Dr. Thomas Franco Rajendra Dev (SBIOA Educational Trust) and Dr. Sandra Joseph (Stella Maris College) - appreciated the work of IDF. Dr. ARK Pillai complimented the social supporters. IDF grants are given out of donations received from public. Awards to Corporate Team, NGO Partners and Social Ambassadors were given. Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, Tambaram, Chennai played soulful music and put up a skit on soial awareness. Super Singer Srisha from SBOA School rendered an inspirational song.

Indian Development Foundation Grants/ Awards function for Telangana & Andhra Pradesh Regions was organized at Hyderabad on 30th July 2016.

Projects in Telangana & AP regions received grants for leprosy/ TB and education project. Schools, Principal and Students received Social Action Awards for 2015-16. 

Delhi School of Excellence, Attapur, Hyderabad received Mother Teresa Memorial Award for excellent social work in Telangana.

Chief Guest : Mrs. Chandana Chakrabarthi, Actor and Social Activist. Guests of Honour : Shri P. Madhusudhan Rao (Educationist & Philanthropist) – Mr.. T. Vikranth, Director, Sanskriti - The School. Dr. ARK Pillai, founder President, IDF, presided over the function. 

Mr. Imdad Sheik rendered the invocation prayer while students from IDF Railway Colony 
Bal Gurukul entertained the audience with performances.

IDF Grants/ Awards Function for northern/ eastern regions was held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Maharana Pratap Auditorium, Jaipur on 10th of Sept. 2015. Shri Madhusudan Rao (Founder, Delhi School of Excellence) was the Chief Guest for the event. Guests of Honour included - Shri P.D.Singh (Chairman, Tagore Group of Institutions) - Shri Suresh Kaul (President, SMK). -  Dr. A.P. Jayaraman (Nuclear Scientist) and Shri Ashish Sharma (COO Shubham Enterprises)

Highlights - Release of Grants to leprosy/ TB/ education projects in N/NE Regions.

Social Action Awards to Schools/ Principals/ Teachers/ Students/ Social Workers/ Social Ambassadors.

Mother Teresa Memorial Award 2014-15 for Rajasthan Region was presented to Tagore International School, Jaipur for excellence in social responsibility.

Students from Bhavan's Vidyashram, Pratap Nagar, Jaipur spoke on social responsibility while students from Tilak Bal Gurukul, Langadiyawas and Nonpura villages, Jaipur gave wonderful performances.  Students from Tagore Public School, Shastri Nagar, Jaipur set the soulful tone with invocation prayer.

IDF Foundation Day - 31 years of humanitarian service

Highlights - IDF Grants to leprosy/ TB/ education projects/ Social Action Awards to Schools-Principals-Teachers-Students-Social Ambassadors-Bal Gurukuls-W2K Team/ IDF CSR Awards to Corporate Leaders for supporting social projects. 

Chief Guest : Dr. Ganesh Raja, COO, Kotak Education Foundation. Guests of Honour : Dr. Kalim Khan, Director, Rizvi Institute of Management Studies and Dr. Lakshmi Mohan, Dy. Director, ITM Business School. 

Dr. ARK Pillai and Dr. AP Jayaraman spoke at the function. Mother Teresa Memorial Award was presented to Podar International School for excellence in social work. 

Students from Guru Gobind Singh Eng. School, St.Catherine's School and Mona Remedial Educational Centre entertained the audience. Mrs. Vijayaa Shanker set the event with a soulful invocation prayer.

Highlights : Release of IDF Grants to leprosy/ TB/ HIV-AIDS and education projects in Karnataka. Honours to schools and students for their excellent social responsibility and honours to social workers and institutions. Chief Guest : Dr. B.T. Lalitha Naik. Guests of Honour : Dr. G. M. Vamadeva, Dr. T. Prabhu, Rev. Sr. Sandhya and Dr. H. Sudarshan (VGKK-BR Hills). Dr. ARK Pillai hailed people's participation in development work. IDF team geared up for goodness unlimited. Mother Teresa Memorial Award for Karnataka Region was presented to Sophia High School, Bangalore for excellence in social work (2014-15).
