IDF organizes Road Safety Programme, Secunderabad.
Indian Development Foundation (IDF) conducted Road Safety Program in for Kendriya Vidyalaya, Tirumalgiri, Secunderabad on 20th August 2014.About 600 children and 20 teachers participated in the program.

Children and Adults are the biggest sufferers of the menace. More than 450 citizens are killed every day by road accidents in India. It is equivalent to an international flight crash. However, we continue to take this as part of day to day life.

IDF launched St. Michael's Bal Gurukul & Teacher Empowerment Programme at Bangalore, Karnataka. Fr. Christy, Manager, St. Michael's School made the arrangements for the inaugurations, Mr. Albert Selvanayagam, Principal of Bangalore community college was the guest of honour. Mr.Albert Selvanayagam conducted a motivation programme (Teachers' empowerment programme) exclusively for the high school teachers. Our special thanks to Fr. Felicitation for 10th Grade Toppers
Indian Development Foundation (IDF) felicitated the Class 10 toppers in Malad area in Mumbai where IDF Bal Gurukuls projects are in operation. The felicitation function was organized on 28th June 2014 at Bharatmata School, Malwani, Malad (W), Mumbai.
The tenth class (SSC Board) toppers received IDF Meritorious Certificate and a special gift on their scoring excellent marks and securing 1st position in the school. Team IDF and all the Principals congratulated the achievers and wished them best of career ahead.
Dr. Narayan Iyer from IDF congratulated the Principals of various schools for the excellent social partnership and success achieved through Bal Gurukul projects. Mrs. Geetha Jayakumar, IDF Social Ambassador presented the cheques for Bal Gurukul projects. The Principals appreciated the Bal Gurukul and various social projects of IDF which are of great help for student development.
Team IDF and volunteers from different colleges co-ordinated the event.
IDF Bal Gurukuls are a success proven model for student development. IDF has 151 Bal Gurukuls in India.

D’s, self confidence and specially asked the students that English language is
a must and one needs to excel in it a successful career.

programme. Nearly 300 students attended the programme.

The session aimed at inculcating scientific temper in young minds. The students got a new approach for learning science and scientific aspects of academics. IDF appreciates the efforts of the school and administration for co-ordinating the entire programme. Also thanks to all the students for contributing for social causes.

Joy of Sharing @ Oracle, Mumbai
Team from Oracle Financial Software Services (OFSS) joined hands with Indian Development Foundation (IDF) for Mission W2K (Waste to Knowledge) to support IDF Bal Gurukul/ Education projects in India. Dr. Narayan Iyer addressed the volunteers and motivated them to be part of the goodness journey. Many volunteers came forward to teach children under IDF's iLIFT programme in the coming academic year.

On account of World Earth
Day, Indian Development Foundation (IDF) organized Competitions to raise
awareness on environment protection and also to appreciate the offerings of our
beautiful planet Earth. Competitions viz; Painting, Quiz and Slogan writing formed
the part of the event. Approx 100 students from various schools participated in
the event. The theme for the competitions was “Save our Planet Earth” and students drew various pictures stating the present state and preventive measures for our planet.
Prizes were given for Top 5 paintings and also consolation prizes for
the other best 10 paintings. Special prize were given for the Best slogan and Quiz
competition. The competition was organized at Malvani Utkarsh Vidyalaya, Malvani, Malad (W) on Sunday, 20th April.

IDF launched SENTHAMIZHIL BAL GURUKUL at St. Michael's High School, Madha Kottai, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu to help children coming from the remote pockets and also from leprosy colony. Our special thanks to Rev. Fr. Arockia Anthony Raj, Headmaster of the school for extending all support. Ms. Manimala, Development Executive of IDF did the co-ordination in opening the Bal Gurukul.

IDF CofE for Juniors..... Student Leadership Program

IDF Social Ambassadors - Sonakshi - Sachita - Khevana - Prashakha - who launched the IDF CofE for Juniors, a student leadership programme for the students of Vivek Vidyalaya, Goregaon, Mumbai, successfully completed the first batch on 22nd Feb. 2014. The student leadership programme for a batch of 50 students were conducted on 4 Saturdays of February 2014 for 4 hours each.
The students felt extremely happy at the end of the session as the team energized them with leadership skills. More such programmes will be organized in the coming sessions. Volunteers with excellence in teaching skills are requested to come forward and enroll for IDF CofE programs which will benefit students in various schools in India.
IDF conducts Health Awareness Program Alpha Public School, Doddaballpur, Bangalore
Indian Development Foundation (IDF) conducted Health Awareness Program (HAP) & TB awareness Program at Alpha Public school, Doddaballpur, Bangalore. The Programme was conducted by Mr. Arulraj and other IDF members. Approximately 200 students and few teachers were present.
Students were very attentive throughout the entire session. Students were shown videos on symptoms, preventive measures, effects and general information on health awareness. Principal and Teachers were also very much impressed by the efforts of Indian Development Foundation.
Principal thanked the IDF team for their efforts.

Students of Holy Angels excel in social service.
IDF organized a social service field trip for the students of Holy Angels School, Vijayanagar, Bangalore to Sumanahalli leprosy project at Magadi Road, Bangalore. The students went round the centre, interacted with the inmates and also saw the excellent rehabilitation activities carried out by the centre. IDF partners with Sumanahalli. 
Our special thanks to Mr.Lokesh, Principal of the School for extending wonderful support to IDF and leprosy cause. Also congratulations to Team Sumanahalli for the excellent care of leprosy-affected persons.

IDF partners with Janyaa- Maths & Science workshop in Vivek Vidyalaya, Goregaon, Mumbai
Indian Development Foundation continues the dissemination of Scientific knowledge. Indian Development Foundation is a leading national NGO working for Health, Education & Development in association with Janyaa an NGO which focuses on developing creative problem solving skills among students organized an inter-school Maths & Science workshop for teachers Vivek Vidyalaya,Goregaon (W) on 1st Feb. 2014.
The workshop was conducted with a view to ingrain the concepts of Maths & Science and the entice interest among students for the same. The teachers would repeat all those experiments in their respective schools which would enable the students to understand the concepts and ultimately supplement their regular teaching. About 15 schools participated in the school and received the kits for the implementation of the programme.
