60 boxes - 2 Tempo loads of clothes mobilized for the needy.

The 2-day Daan Utsav organized at the SBI Staff Quarters, Nerul, Navi Mumbai got successfully completed.

Gratitude and appreciations to all the residents of SBI Staff Quarters at Nerul for donating clothes for the villages in Palghar District of Maharashtra. The materials were despatched to Dahanu by the end of the day. Thanks to all the volunteers for supporting the drive.

Gratitude to Dr. Vandana Lulla and Team Podar School for donating rice, wheat, pulses for St. Catherine's Orphanage at Bandra. We appreciate the social commitment of every student and their parents. Salutations to the Podar Schoolteam.

Joy of Giving on Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's birth anniversary...

Team IDF, SBI, Prarambh and Atharva College did clothes distribution, presented Diwali sweets and planted 86 Trees on the 86th birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Sir.

The drive was taken place on 15th Oct 2017 at Dahigaon, Charoti and Kainad, Kharparpada in Dahanu Taluka, District Palghar, Maharashtra.

Team State Bank of India's Sustainability Department as part of Daan Utsav had mobilized clothes from all the employees and the same were cleaned through Be Clean Laundry Services.

Indian Development Foundation co-ordinated the entire drive with the help of Prarambh and did the distribution on 15th Oct. to around 2000 villagers.
Volunteers from Atharva College came forward and mobilized resources for planting 86 plants at Kainad, Kharparpada village.

Grateful thanks to all the volunteers and supporters for making this event a grand success.

Daan Utsav...... Joy of Giving...

IDF is the NGO partner for SBI's week-long Daan Utsav event at their corporate office, Nariman Point, Mumbai (3rd - 7th Oct 2017). We will be mobilising clothes and books during this week and the same will be distributed in different villages in Maharashtra. Thanks to all the supporters and volunteers.

Joy of Sharing...... Making miracles happen.
The need for desk and benches for St.Joseph's School at Sumanahalli, Bangalore was fulfilled by New Public School, Vijayanagar Bangalore. Team NPS donated their (good-old) 105 benches and desks to St.Joseph's School. Dr. Franklin co-ordinated with Mr.Sunoj, Administrator of New Public School, received the materials and delivered the same at Sumanahalli. Rev. Fr. Peters, Director of Sumanahalli conveyed special thanks for the timely benevolent gesture. IDF runs Sumanahalli Bal Gurukul at the centre.

Joy of Reading - Donate-a-book

The students of Vibgyor High, Malad East, Mumbai donated 1800 reading books as a tribute to Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam with a personalized message to help and promote reading habits in six schools and supplement the library system.  Indian Development Foundation co-ordinated with six schools in Mumbai. The Principals and representatives of the six schools visited Vibgyor High on 28th Oct 2015 and received the books.  Mrs. Sunita George, Principal, Mrs. Padmaja Kutty, Vice-Principal along with their co-ordinators and students felt extremely happy as they presented the books to various school representatives to support the `Joy of Reading'  social initiative.

Dr. Narayan Iyer and Mrs. Mallika from IDF thanked Vibgyor High schoolteam for the wonderful support.  Also the recipient schools representatives conveyed their special thanks to all the students - Angel Land High School, Andheri (W) - Elia Sarwat High School, Malwani, Malad (W) - Holy Mother High School, Charkop, Kandivali (W) - St. Thomas Mar Thoma High School, Pathanwadi, Malad (E) - Guru Gobind Singh High School, Vikhroli (E) and GMES High School, Vile Parle (E)

Thanks to Team Halliburton Volunteer Council at Vishakapatnam for mobilizing clothes for needy elderly people. Mr. Sanjay Ram and Mr. Anup from IDF co-ordinated the JOG and distributed materials at Prema Samajam Old Age Home at Vizianagaram.

Joy of Giving by Halliburton Voluntary Council.
Special thanks to Shri Ankur Bhatnagar and Team Halliburton for supporting IDF projects by mobilizing clothes for the needy families. The voluntary council partnered with IDF social projects and chose - Mumbai, Taloja, Chennai, Vizag, Pune and Barmer.

On 24th Oct. 2015, 23 cartons loaded with clothes mobilized by the HVC team were handed over to St.Mathew's School, Malwani, Mumbai for distribution among needy families of the students studying in the school. Special thanks to Satendra for the co-ordination and Mayank and Shubham for assistance.

Joy of Sharing- Oracle donates to the underprivileged.

Oracle Volunteers proudly organized 'Joy of Sharing' event where the employees gifted many precious and special gifts like clothes, books, toys, laptop,printer etc for the benefits of the special children's staying in slums. 

All the donated items like Clothes, Books or toys were countless and very neatly gifted.Even one tempo wasn't sufficient enough to carry all the goods. Indeed a very proud moment for all who worked tirelesly to make this a reality. 

Special thanks to Indian Development Foundation (IDF) for giving us this opportunity to be a reason for other's smile.

Empowering Mr. Jagdish Pawar to meet the challenges.

Mr. Jagdish Pawar who is known for courage and confidence, was all smiles when he received the battery-operated MOTORISED TRICYCLE from Dr. ARK Pillai on 05-10-2013. 

Jagdish lost both his limbs some year ago and he was sent to IDF's project in Ramgarh Reintegration Centre in Jaipur for rehabilitation. Resident of Mumbai, Jagdish started selling agarbattis and other pooja items near temple spots... Of late, he developed pains in hands and thus IDF decided to give him a battery operated tricycle which will give him comfort. 

He will use the same for selling products nearly temple points to make a living. Jagdish is now empowered to meet the challenges....... I am extremely thankful to IDF for constantly supporting me and i am aware there are many Jagdish in this country who need such support. I am also confident that many people will support IDF and derive joy in giving, said Jagdish with a smile...

CHANGES FOR CHANGE to inculcate joy of giving

MUSKAAN spreads SMILES all around. "CHANGES FOR CHANGE"

Muskaan, IDF young social ambassador celebrated her birthday 15-06-2013. As a return gift to her friends who participated in the celebration, Muskaan selected IDF's Piggy Banks to be gifted to her friends. IDF launched a programme `CHANGES FOR CHANGE' a Piggy Bank concept to inculcate `joy of giving' among young minds and families. Muskaan felt extremely happy to distribute IDF Piggy Banks to all her friends and requested them to contribute coins for education cause. 

The contributions received under "CHANGES FOR CHANGE" will be utilized for IDF Bal Gurukuls in different parts of India. Muskaan has set an excellent example for many others to emulate and spread smiles all around. While we convey our best wishes and greetings to dear Muskaan, we also thank her parents for the support extended to her. Our special thanks Mrs. Rekha Bajaj, IDF Education Ambassador for introducing the project among young minds.
