Football match for a cause...

Podar students take up the responsibility to help TB cause

Come World TB Day 2017 (24/3), Gantavya Pahwa and Yusuf Farooqui, students from Podar International School, Mumbai have planned to support TB cause. The IBDP students have planned to have a massive month-long TB awareness drive and on 22nd April host a football charity match to raise funds to provide nutrition for TB patients. IDF, which is working for TB cause across India, will be the NGO partner for the event.

IDF appreciate the social commitment of the students in reaching out the needy.

Stop... Read... Think. (Awareness is the key)

Team IDF launched creative TB Awareness posters in Bangalore and presented it to Dr. Arundathi Das, Project Co-ordinator (T.B.), BBMP, Bangalore on 20-04-2015. The TB Awareness Posters designed in both English and Kannada languages, with the helpline numbers, will be put up by the health workers/ volunteers at the private/ public clinics in Bangalore. Dissemination of information will help patient-doctor connect and the importance of regularity in treatment.

Indian Development Foundation thank L&T for sponsoring the posters as part of their social responsibility initiative.

IDF @ Kings College Hospital, London.

It was a great honour to address a group of doctors at the Kings College Hospital, London on "TB Public Health Campaign in India" . The message was well received and they are keen to know more on the success model for implementation. Special thanks to Suja Chandran for organizing a meaningful session. Interacting with Dr. Surabhi Taori was indeed a great experience.

World TB Day Rally - Trichy

TB Day Rally in Sagayamadha Hospital, Pullambadi,Trichy. Director Rev.Fr.Thangasamy started the rally.Child Jesus Mat School Students and staff also participated.

After finished rally Dr.Karthikeyan addressed people about TB causes and treatment.

 

TB Awareness at Chennai Central Railway Station.

Mr. S. Govindasamy, IRTS, Station Manager, Chennai Central was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the TB awareness exhibition.

Mr. Govindasamy said " People should know about TB and such kind of awareness campaigns bring more awareness among general public and railways always support such awareness programmes".  He thanked IDF and GREMALTES for selecting the Chennai central for such awareness campaigns. 

Scouts and Guides from KV 2, Madambakkam and Students from Sri Shanthi Anand Vidyalaya distributed pamphlets and supported the event.
