IDF welcomes 2017 with a difference

Indian Development Foundation organized its 33rd Citizens' Reach-out Programme at Vimala Dermatological Centre (a leprosy hospital) in Mumbai to welcome New Year 2017 with a difference (30-12-16).
Guests of Honour included - Dr. Suresh Nair, Mrs. Latha Venkat, Mrs. Sushma Mestha, Mrs. Chhaya Ravani, Mrs. Vijaya Shanker, Mrs. Tarannum Ahmed, Mrs. Seema Pardeshi, Mrs. Nafisa Bhinderwala, Mrs. Suman Murarka and Rev. Sr. Bertilla. Volunteers from Vivek College, UPG College, Khalsa College, DIYA Group, WAH Group, WAH Kidzania, Aashayein and Umeed Team and Social Ambassadors participated in the mega event to spread happiness among the inmates and the children.
Dr. AP Jayaraman and Dr. Narayan Iyer spoke on the `Spirit of Reach-out'. Parle Products donated biscuits while Royal Fashion donated towels. WAH Kidzania, Vimala Angels, Vivek College students made a thrilling entertainment while the Singers Vijaya Shanker, Suneet, Pulkit, V.Shanker and others gave a soul touching musical performance. Team Project Aashayein led by Shashank Shetty and Project Umeed led Salma Memon felicitated the supporters for their goodness and contributions. Similar Reach-out programmes were organized by Team IDF at different projects and Bal Gurukuls in India. IDF wishes you all a HAPPY 2017.

Goodness team

Salutations to the nine social interns from SIES College of Management, Nerul for successfully completing their 10-day long internship with over 60 hours of social work. 
The students, Priyanka, Lipika, Chirag, Parth and Rashee taught in Mumbai Urdu School and Oscar School at Andheri.
While Geetha, Saina, Kalai Arasi and Bhushan taught at St Mathews School and
S.T.S. Mission School at Malad....

Happiness and Goodness Unlimited .

Team Indian Development Foundation visited Sodawala M R (Special Children) School at Borivali west and Distributed the clothes received in terms of Donation from various sources and places in umbai.
 Children's were extremely happy receiving it.The centre has many more requirement for the Children's and through the support of you all we pledge to support them in Best way we can for their Better Future.
Every Child has Right to Educate and received all the things which help them to stand on their own leg.In Gratitude we thanks all the people who donated clothes and also to Sanju Koli sir and Avinash Keer who made this Divine Connection through Social Network.

IDF's Cover of Compassion

Our Campaign of Cover of Compassion Continued once again with B.Ed. students from Smt. Kapila Khandvala College of Education, Juhu, Mumbai gathered at our project (Vimala Dermatological Centre, Versova, Yari Road, Andheri West, Mumbai) to stitch quilts for leprosy patients.
We have mobilised cloth cut-pieces (chindi) from various sources and these students have stitched the quilts (godhadi in local language) and will present it to the inmates and childrens of the centre and the excess will be shared with other projects.
Our Especial thanks to Suman maa and the Suresh Bhai for helping us to mobilise the cloth cut pieces and also Bharggavi Rawal mam for guiding the Students to make Quilts.God Bless all. Jai ho........👍

Knowledge Revolution

Towards creating Shining Personalities through SLP (Student Leadership Programme).    IDF today launched 25 SLP projects in Mumbai which will create 1250 student leaders with the help of 75 mentors drawn from DSIMS - Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management StudiesThe programme will run on all Saturdays till March 2017. 
Special thanks to Dr. Chidambaram Babu, Director of DSIMS and Prof. Vijay Hegde for all the co-ordination. Jai ho !!!!... Next week, we will be launching more SLPs across India. Seeking blessings.

Santas spreading smiles

Santas from ITM Business School led by IDF Social Ambassador Ms.Priscilla Mistry     visited 4 different locations and distributed clothes, blankets, bed-sheets and toys mobilized by ITM volunteers through their internship with Indian Development Foundation.
1)Lokmat newspaper office at Sanpada for distribution of clothes, blankets and bedsheets to families in tribal belt in Maharashtra.
2)Girija Welfare Association, an Orphanage for boys and Old Age Home.
3)Jeevan Jyoti Ashram, Home for HIV infected and TB patients rehab centre.
4)Ashalaya Orphanage for boys and girls separate row houses for the kids.
