26th National road safety week - awareness campaign in Niraj International School, Medchal in association with IDF , Road Safety Club and RTA Medchal.

Kite Flying Festival, Makar Sankranti - A social exchange programme, Mumbai

Grade 3 & 4 students from Podar International School, Santacruz (W), Mumbai invited a group students from St. Catherine's School, Andheri (W), Mumbai for celebrating Kite Flying Festival (Makar Sankranti) on 13-01-2015. 

Every year students from either of the school meet and exchange greeting cards, gifts, 'til-gud ladoos' and kites. An event for kite making and decoration was organized by the the Podar school. Both the school students exchanged pleasantries, decorated the kites and presented as gifts. 

Students from St. Catherine's School expressed their sincere thanks for the wonderful reception and exchange programme. Podarites too conveyed their gratitude for the golden opportunity provided to spread happiness to those who need the most. Indian Development Foundation organised the social responsibility programme for both the schools.

Blanket distribution at Little Drops, Chennai.

Indian Development Foundation distributed 74 blankets at Little Drops,Chennai. 

A visit to school @ Wada,Maharashtra.

Team Akshayashakti visited the New English school ,Sonale,Wada to inaugurate the newly constructed toilet .This project of constructing toilets was supported and funded by Bank of India.

The inauguration was done by Mr.S.P.Vashistha,Asst General Manager, Bank of India ,Thane.Mr.S.P. Vashistha was deeply touched and impressed by their creativity and explained to the children on how Bank of India will be able to help and support them for their higher studies.

Group of 35 students from Vibgyor high ,a school in Mumbai visited the New English School .This was a part of SSRC programme of Indian Development Foundation and Vibgyor school .The Sonale school children performed tribal dance and the entire students from Vibgyor school joined them.

Blankets Distribution in IDF KGNMT Bal Gurukul

60 blankets were distributed  to the children in IDF KGNMT Bal gurukul on 20th Dec 2014.

Mr.Sanjay Ram, Mr.John and Mrs.Rama went to KGNMT Bal Gurukul along with social ambassadors Mr.Vipin Mishra and Mr.Madhukar and distributed the blankets.

Sensitization Program @ST.Francis Desales High School

.

St Francis De Sales High School, Shathinagar attended the health sensitization program organized by Indian Development Foundation, Hyderabad at Shivananda Rehabilitation Center at Kukatpally.

The presentation was started at around 11:30am. By Dr Ananth Reddy. The main objective of the program is to create awareness regarding some of the common and vulnerable diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Leprosy, TB, and Non communicable diseases. Doctor emphasized that students should maintain good health in order to contribute to the nation. He shared to the students on the causative agent, preventive measures, treatment, complication and impact of the diseases to the individual and the nation.

Around 70 students along with the Teachers, School Principal Fr. Manoj have participated in this program and students have celebrated Christmas along with the leprosy inmates and have performed Skit, Dance and Carols and entertained the leprosy inmates and sponsored Lunch for the day, interacted with the inmates and share the joy of Christmas with them.

Student sensitization program was held for Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram students and\ teachers, they visited the home for the aged run by little sisters of poor and IDF AIM FOR SEVA BAL GURUKUL

Sensitization program @ IDF KGNMT Bal Gurukul

Indian Development Foundation organized a sensitization program for Sanskriti The School students by taking them to IDF KGNMT Bal Gurukul on 31st Aug 2014.  The children brought groceries, old clothes, biscuits and chocolates for the inmates.  Dr.Anuj Kapadiya, leading cardiologist and his team also visited the Bal Gurukul. The visiting team were impressed with IDF activities and  assured to initiate waste to knowledge program in their society. Mr.P.Srinivas from Hyderabad  also visited the bal gurukul along with his family.

Joy of Sharing @ Oracle, Mumbai

Team from Oracle Financial Software Services (OFSS) joined hands with Indian Development Foundation (IDF) for Mission W2K (Waste to Knowledge) to support IDF Bal Gurukul/ Education projects in India. Dr. Narayan Iyer addressed the volunteers and motivated them to be part of the goodness journey. Many volunteers came forward to teach children under IDF's iLIFT programme in the coming academic year.

Students of Holy Angels excel in social service.

IDF organized a social service field trip for the students of Holy Angels School, Vijayanagar, Bangalore to Sumanahalli leprosy project at Magadi Road, Bangalore. The students went round the centre, interacted with the inmates and also saw the excellent rehabilitation activities carried out by the centre. IDF partners with Sumanahalli. 

Our special thanks to Mr.Lokesh, Principal of the School for extending wonderful support to IDF and leprosy cause. Also congratulations to Team Sumanahalli for the excellent care of leprosy-affected persons.
