Airtel supports IDF for education cause...

Team Airtel through their CSR project Unnati, have come forward to support IDFs Bal Gurukul, pH12 project for heath and hygiene and Nutrition project. Mr. Venkatesh Vijayraghavan, CEO of Bharti Airtel (TS & AP) congratulated Team IDF and exhorted people to join hands with IDF to strengthen the goodness journey. Team Airtel will soon pledge time for the Student Leadership Programme to be carried out in Hyderabad and neighbouring regions. Dr. Ark Pillai and Dr. Narayan Iyer expressed sincere gratitude to Team Airtel for their constant support to social development projects.

Team SITEL visited IDF Mumbai office to presented 35 CPUs meant for IDF Tilak Bal Gurukuls in Langadiyawas and Nonpura villages in Jaipur - Ramgarh Reintegration Centre in Jaipur and Umeed Computer Centre in Malwani.

SITEL Mumbai is donating 100 CPUs for IDF Bal Gurukuls/ Connect Schools/ Projects

Team Oracle visited @ Sri Ayyapan Bal Gurukul, Bangalore

Several senior staff of Oracle visited Sri Ayyappan Bal Gurukul, at Ramasamipalya, Bengalore, and distributed various kinds of stationeries to the children and encouraged them to set high goals and come up well in life.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sashidhar, the Secretary of Sri Ayappan Education Trust, said that the Professionals from Oracle stood as a role model for the children. Mr. Thangappan, the President of Sri Ayappan Education Trust, appreciated IDF initiative to support the less privileged children through the Bal Gurukul Program.

The program was marked with dance programs by the children and a group drawing competition with the theme of India 2025. Each one of the team members mentored a group of 5  or 6 six children and they portrayed wonderful ideas.

Mr. Srinivas, the Principal, Sri Ayyappan High School, welcomed and Ms. Aliya, the Teacher I/c, Sri Ayyappan Bal Gurukul, proposed vote of thanks. Mr. Prabhakaran, the Admin Officer and Ms. Sujatha, the Headmistress of the school took active part in the event.

The simple, yet colourful event was well organised by  Ms. Alisha, the Program Director, IDF Balgurukuls,  with the support of Mr. Ramakrishnan, Zonal Officer and Mr. Arulraj, the Development Executive.

Reaching the unreached.... 207 students got books...

Under the guidance of Jyoti Niwas Centre at Manor and excellent support from First Credit Services Pvt. Ltd., Indian Development Foundation organized a books and stationery distribution drive at Manor, Palghar district, Maharashtra on 4th February 2017. IDF thank First Credit Services Pvt. Ltd. for donating books and stationery items.

207 students from 3 different schools from Takwal Rinjadpada village. Nandgaon village and Tein village received the gifts.

Sarpanch Mrs. Jyotsna Kiran Govari thanked and appreciated the social responsibility initiatives of First Credit Services and support extended by IDF Team.

Sr. Cecelia Dabre, Superior of Jyoti Niwas and Sr. Sagaya David co-ordinated the drive in three different villages.

A six member team from First Credit Services led by Mr. Gopal Badi visited the village by 8:30 am and did the distribution. Students from all the schools entertained the visiting team.

Team IDF - Dr. Narayan Iyer, Ms. Salma Memon and Ms. Kalpana Devadiga - did the overall co-ordination.

Indian Development Foundation thank Team First Credit Services for their support and goodness.

Students received school bags from Nielsen

Team IDF - Adhiraj and Satendra Prasad - visited St. Catherine's Primary School, Veera Desai, Andheri (West), Mumbai and distributed schoolbags to 250 students on 15th June 2015.  The schoolbags  were donated by Nielsen as part of their Nielsen Global Impact Day (NGID-2015).  Indian Development Foundation conveys special thanks to Team Nielsen for supporting education projects.  All the students felt extremely happy as they received the gifts.  The Headmistress of the school and students convey their gratitude for spreading happiness.

Nielsen Global Impact Day 2015

Nielsen Global Impact Day - 2015. Nielsen Team visited Vimala Centre, Versova, Andheri (West), Mumbai on 11th June 2015 as part of their Global Impact Day organized annually. Indian Development Foundation's health and education projects (Bal Gurukuls) were selected for the Nielsen Global Impact Day. The social champions from Nielsen visited Vimala Centre @ Andheri, Mumbai as part of their global social impact day. The visiting team distributed note-books, stationaries, food and gifts. The team spent a good amount of time with the Vimala children and also with the leprosy-inmates of the centre. The Social Outcome of NGID was fun, joy and happiness. Our special thanks to Team NIELSEN for selecting IDF projects.

Blood donation camp in Bank of America.

Indian Development Foundation in collaboration with MNJ Cancer Hospital organized a Blood donation camp at Bank of America on 18th Dec 2014. 120 units of blood were donated by the staff of Bank of America for MNJ Cancer hospital, Red hills, Hyderabad. The blood collected will be given free of cost to all poor patients in MNJ Cancer and Osmania hospital.  IDF conveys special thanks to Team Bank of America and also the Blood Banks for saving many lives.

IDF social ambassadors Mr.Vipin Mishra from Adani group and Dr.Nikhil also volunteered in the camp.

ITM Business School students gear up for IDF Social Projects

90 students from Institute for Technology and Management (ITM Kharghar) will do social internship with Indian Development Foundation for two weeks starting from 10th Nov. The team were invited at Vimala Dermatological Centre (a leprosy project of IDF) at Versova, Mumbai on 10th Nov. to brief them on social projects. 3 Groups have been designed with Health, Education and Resource Mobilisation Theme. Students will create health awareness with particular reference to T.B. awareness and Clean India, teach children in IDF Bal Gurukuls and Municipal Schools and also generate resources for social projects. All the students were motivated by IDF team - Dr. ARK Pillai, Dr. Narayan Iyer, Prof. Prajesh Trotsky, Ms. Salma Menon and Mr. Adhiraj. 

Tapan and Mridulla have been nominated as the leaders for the 3 Groups. 

Three Groups have been named as Parichay, Parinay and Prayas.  

Urvashi and Amit will lead Parichay, 

Sreeja and Shobhit will lead Prayas and 

Mamta and Akhlendra will lead Parinay.

Airtel distributes school kits, Hyderabad

On 24th  Jul 2014, AIRTEL  distributed  Books, stationary etc to children in  IDF ASBP Bal Gurukul  Hyderabad. A few employees from Airtel participated in the activity. All the children were happy to receive the school kits.

Yash technologies distributed School Kits, Hyderabad.

On 23rd Jul 2014, Yash technologies distributed School Kits  (school bags, books, stationary etc) to children in  IDF KGNMT & IDF ASBP Bal Gurukul  Hyderabad. 80 employees from Yash technologies participated in the activity. Lot of fun filled activities was arranged by Yash employees. All the children were happy to receive the school kits.

Road Safety Awareness at Vasu Organics, Hyderabad

Road Safety Club and Indian Development Foundation conducted a road safety awareness program to all the field staff of Vasu Organics in Leonia Resorts on 13th June 2014. The initiative taken by the management of Vasu organics to create more awareness for their field staff as they are always travelling and constantly on the move and ensuring the safety of their employees is appreciable.
