IDF got the direction

On 27-03-2016, the Board of Indian Development Foundation unanimously appointed Mr. Shashank Shetty as the Hon. Director for IDF Bal Gurukuls and Ms. Salma Memon as the Hon. Director for IDF Student Leadership Programmes (SLP).

The most vibrant, caring and affable social ambassadors - Shashank Shetty and Salma Memon - have been associated with IDF for a long time, spreading goodness through various social projects.

Students received school bags from Nielsen

Team IDF - Adhiraj and Satendra Prasad - visited St. Catherine's Primary School, Veera Desai, Andheri (West), Mumbai and distributed schoolbags to 250 students on 15th June 2015.  The schoolbags  were donated by Nielsen as part of their Nielsen Global Impact Day (NGID-2015).  Indian Development Foundation conveys special thanks to Team Nielsen for supporting education projects.  All the students felt extremely happy as they received the gifts.  The Headmistress of the school and students convey their gratitude for spreading happiness.

Social Engineers for a Cause

Congratulations to Team DJSCOE-IDF Student Clubfor completing 1 year of social projects. The students of DJ Sanghvi College of Engineering came together and formed IDF Social Club to spread the message of goodness. Marathon, Science Sessions, Health awareness, Clean-up Drive, Mission W2K, Volunteering, Teaching were some of the projects taken up during the year. Misha Sheth and Janvi Shah visited IDF office on 03/06/2015 to hand over the report and contributions for the year. IDF conveys special thanks to all the student volunteers for their support and goodness.. Salutations and Best Wishes !!!

Children from Good Life Centre, Tambaramm, Chennai got a wonderful treat for their eyes as they visited the Rose Garden and other important locations in Nilgiris. Mrs. Rajammal Madam made all the arrangements to give the children a wonderful exposure. Team IDF had promised an excursion for the children and the same got fulfilled. Mr.Mano Ranjit Lad from IDF co-ordinated the visit on 21 and 22 May 2015. IDF runs Ramana Bal Gurukul at Good Life Centre.

IDF-USA successfully conducted a program "On Genetic Influence in the Development of Cardiovascular Disease Conditions" on May 17, 2015 at Econolodge Melrose park.

Thanks for the support from members of St. Thomas Church, DT Team, friends and supporters of IDF USA. Dr. Sakthi and Aravind gave an insight on the genetic issue faced especially by the South Asian Community which was well executed, 47 blood samples were collected during the event for the study. Special thanks to Professor Annie and Mr. Thomas Abraham for arranging the event and for providing banquet facilities. IDF USA will be conducting many similar programs in the future for the benefit of our community.

IDF SLP Convocation at Anjuman Islam School, Mumbai.

IDF SLP (Student Leadership Programme) at Anjuman-I-Islam School, Versova, Andheri (W), Mumbai successfully got completed on 15-04-2015. 50 students from Anjuman School underwent IDF SLP training (12-sessions - spaced in 12 Saturdays) and felt extremely happy with their progress. IDF SLP is a great boon for the young minds, said Principal Mrs. Sajida Pirzade. The commitment and dedication of all the mentors (Aakash Shah, Kimberly Pereira and Harsha Daga) were extraordinary which helped in moulding the students in a short span of time. Once the students are put in discipline and leadership track, their academics would certainly fall on line, she added. Congratulating all the students for successfully completing IDF SLP training, Dr.Narayan Iyer appreciated all the mentors and thanked them for their support. Dr. Narayan also thanked the Principal of the school for providing a wonderful platform to share knowledge. IDF Mentors felt extremely happy as they shared their rich experiences and expressed commitment for future sessions too.
