IDF - Vivek College NSS Unit celebrate India @ 60


Mumbai University's National Service Scheme students from Vivek College of Commerce joined hands with Indian Development Foundation in celebrating India's 60 years of independence at Vimala Dermatological Centre at north Mumbai.

NSS Co-ordinator Prof. P. Thangadurai led the team to the Centre to interact with the inmates of the Centre and initiate Social Responsibility work in collaboration with IDF. Prof. Thangadurai introduced the students to the IDF and Vimala team.

Dr. A. R. K. Pillai, President of the Foundation spoke on India's independence and the need for the youth to arise and awake to join the development forum.

Mr. Karthick S., Social Entrepreneur of IDF gave a power packed session and empowered the youth instilling social and developmental values in the students. He spoke on the importance of progress and the need to keep pace with the changing world. Students interacted with the faculties and exchanged ideas.

Rev. Sr. Leela and Rev. Sr. Sisily congratulated NSS students and wished them good luck in their social responsibilities.
The event was successfully managed by Mr. Sanjay Waghmare.
