Bishop Heber College, Trichy launched Human Rights Club on Human Rights Day 2014 (09-12-2014). A workshop on `Know Your Rights' was organized for the members of Human Rights Club. Dr. T. Sebastian Rajasekharan, Vice-Principal of BHC chaired the session while Dr. T. Sekar, DIGP, Chief Security Officer, BHEL was the Chief Guest. Speakers involved : Dr. Narayan B. Iyer, CEO, IDF and Mr. S. Thiyagarajan, City Co-ordinator, ChildLine, Trichy.
The Social Work Association, PG and Research Department of Social Work, Bishop Heber College invited Dr. Narayan B. Iyer, CEO, IDF to speak on `Spirit of Volunteerism - An Experiential Sharing' to the social work students. Dr. A. Relton, Associate Professor of Social Work and Dr. Sam Deva Asir, Asst. Professor of Social Work appreciated the work of IDF and thanked the speakers for enlightening the students.
