Indian Development Foundation team - Dr.A.R.K.Pillai and Dr. Narayan Iyer visited Tilak Bal Gurukul at Chindran, Panvel, Dist. Raigad, Maharashtra on 20th Aug. 2011 and congratulated all the students for excellent academic results. Tree plantation and prize distribution to the top performers were the main agenda. Mr. Uday Thakar and Mrs. Pratibha Kathe from HKNS-RRE society were present. The special invitees included Mr.Karamjeet Singh and Ms. Neha Agarwal from SCB. Mr. Jaihind Thakur, Principal of the school appreciated the wonderful Tilak Bal Gurukul project run in the school and thanked IDF team. IDF team announced iDiscover project (visit to Nehru Planetarium in Mumbai) for the students of Tilak Bal Gurukul which will inculcate scientific temper in the young minds.

India's 65th Independence Day
IDF, Rotary Club of Mumbai North End and Rotary Club of Green City joined St.Mathew's High School at Malwani, Malad (W), Mumbai to celebrate India's 65th Independence Day - 15-08-2011. Dr.A.R.K.Pillai, President, IDF unfurled the national flag along with all the dignitaries, Rotarians and IDF social ambassadors. Mrs. Larzy Varghese, Principal of the school conveyed patriotic feelings to all the children. Students depicting various freedom fighters, gave the message of brotherhood and togetherness. Jai Hind, Jai Hind, Jai Hind slogan wrapped the entire school environment.

Ashwamedh Bal Gurukul
Indian Development Foundation in collaboration with Gurukul English High School, Malwani, Malad (W), Mumbai launched its 45th Bal Gurukul on 12th Aug. 2011. Dr. A.R.K.Pillai, Dr. Narayan B. Iyer, Rotarian Sana Rupani, Mrs. Rasika Gada, Mrs. Neeta Sanghvi and Mrs. Prabha Shanker congratulated Mr. Farid Shaikh, Director/Principal of the School on the launch of Ashwamedh Bal Gurukul which will empower and educate the school dropouts, in addition to regular students.
