Hello friends,
Congratulations on the achievement. It is indeed heartening to note that at least in some remote villages in the country, the raw and latent talent of our youngsters is coming to fore.
I feel it is important that social organisations like IDF give a serious thought in taking the stride forward in more meaningful ways to see these kids wearing the national colours in various mega sporting events in the time to come. While tracks suits and equipments will definitely go a long way in enhancing the confidence of the children, we should also think on long term measures.
Sponsoring a reputed coach to help in moulding the talent of the little ones in the right direction would be a more sustainable step forward. Why can't we hire a reputed coach and provide proper remuneration to him or her so that the children can be trained better. This is only a suggestion.
Congratulations to the children and organisations like IDF for taking the first step forward.
Regards,
Nanda

Mr. Nandakumar Marar (nmarar@gmail.com) has commented as follows :

"Jewels in the desert need sporting greats to dream big. Rajasthan gave us Rajyavardhan Rathore, India's only Olympic medallist at 2004 Athens Olympics games. He won the Silver Medal in double trap event and will be competing again at 2008Beijing Olympic games. Let these
sports-minded youngsters know about a genuine achiever from the same State and gain inspiration from his deeds."

Three Cheers to IDF !! Diamonds in India are many, but only a few organizations like IDF have the courage to mine, cut, polish and showcase them to the outside world. Keep up the good work Team-IDF.
