Sarva Sakhi Swabhiman at Pathanwadi - A women empowerment programme of IDF

40 women from Pathanwadi came forward to get formal education..... which gave birth to `Sarva Sakhi Swabhiman' - Project S-3 of Indian Development Foundation. St. Thomas Mar Thoma School, Pathanwadi, Malad (East), Mumbai took the responsibility of adult education... The women attend the class with rhythmic regularity and with full confidence. The teacher of Project S-3, Ms. Devi takes utmost care to involve all the mothers and guide them properly. Principal Mrs. Joice Dais said, `the progress of S-3 has been phenomenal, my dream is to get the women enrolled for board exams and later provide them job opportunities'. Mrs. Uma Narayan and Mrs. Rekha Bajaj, IDF Social Ambassadors visited Project S-3 on 15th Jan.'13 to motivate the women and provide inputs on social literacy. The day happened to be the birthday of Mrs.Uma Narayan who felt extremely happy to celebrate the event with the women group.
