An Evening in Podar

Podar World School celebrates An International Evening.

The students of Podar World School celebrated an `International Evening' on 23rd Feb. 07 at Podar Grounds in Santacruz, Mumbai. A colourful evening with full of life and energy was the evening at Podar World School. Each and every student of the School had a role to perform. There were several stalls of different countries and the young tiny tots were busy highlighting and promoting the panaromic beauty of the country.

A special stall for Indian Development Foundation was also nicely decorated inviting visitors attention. IBDP students consisting Mr. Raj Jobanputra, Mr. Kabir Verma, Miss Kalpana Jain, Miss Vidhi Shah and Miss Sneha Sundaram were the incharge for IDF stall. CAS Co-ordinators Dr. Anuradha Sridhar and Ms. Sarala Gavane took the lead to explain the students on social service activities of IDF. Beautiful charts, banners and posters on IDF activities were put up in the stall. The students explained the visiting parents on the activities of IDF with the help of films, slide-show presentation and display charts. The team had also designed a response sheet for getting the views of the visitors. Pamphlets and magazines of IDF were distributed creating awareness on leprosy.

The visitors of IDF stall included Consul Generals from different countries, the management members of Podar, parents, guests and of course the Director Mrs. Vandana Lulla. Everyone appreciated the work of IDF and congratulated the IBDP students who had shown keen interest in doing social work.

Those visited from IDF were - Dr. A.R.K. Pillai, President - Dr. Narayan B. Iyer, National Co-ordinator and Mr. Karthick S., Social Entrepreneur. IDF team congratulated Mr. Raj Jobanputra and his team for the wonderful social activity.
