IDF SLP Certification Day at Suvidyalay School, Borivali (West), Mumbai held on 20-02-2016. IDF SLP Mentors - Mrs. Sushma Gaba, Mrs. Aruna Sharma, Mrs. Parvathi Krishnamurthy and Mrs. Kalpana Devadiga - churned out 50 student leaders during the 12 sessions. Special thanks to all the mentors and the volunteers for supporting the movement.

IDF launched Public Speaking Skill Development Programme

IDF launched Public Speaking Skill Development Programme at Vivek Vidyalaya & Jr. College, Goregaon (West), Mumbai on 18th February 2016.  27 students from Class XI have enrolled for the Public Speaking course.  Under Dr. ARK Pillai's leadership the PSSDP will be conducted.  First batch of 13 students and second batch of 14 students will undergo a week-long session.  Dr. Suresh Nair, Principal, Vivek Vidyalaya appreciated Dr. Pillai's offer of support as it would help the students to develop their personality.

Dr. Narayan B. Iyer and Prof. Prajesh Trotsky from IDF were present at the inauguration session.  Mrs. Kalpana Devadiga, IDF Social Ambassador will co-ordinate the PSSDP sessions at Vivek Vidyalaya.

Medical camp

Medical camp conducted in IDF Srujanavani Bal gurukul area, Midhani, Kanchanbagh , Hyderabad for all children and adults today in association with Srujanavani and Seva Bharati. Thanks to our goodness ambassadors Dr. Nikhil, Dr. Divya , Dr. Dinesh and Mr. Varun, project developer IDF who helped in conducting the camp. Check up, counselling was done and free medicines were given to patients. Jai Ho!

Gearing up Goodness

Mr. Prakash Nikam and his team from Avhan Youth Foundation at Khopri, Thane are doing great job by teaching rag-picking children and others and helping them to come up in life. IDF salutes Team Avhan for their great work.... Team IDF presented books for the children at Avhan. Thanks to NSS Unit of JM Patel College for the support.

Distribution of Aid materials to Leprosy patients affected by Chennai floods

Indian Development Foundation, along with Hind Kusht Nivaran Sangh (Tamilnadu Branch) organised a reach out the programme at the GREMALTES Hospital on 7^th January 2016.

Mr J. Ravichandran, CEO, GLRA India was the chief guest of the programme.

Speaking on the occasion he, complimented the ‘Indian Development Foundation and HKNS for organising the programme for the benefits of the Leprosy patients.  He congratulated Mr Pius Kalathil, Director, GREMALTES Hospital and his team for the excellent care given to the patients”.

Dr Kirupakaran, President, HKNS said “HKNS will extend all possible support to alleviate the sufferings of the leprosy patients’ and thanked IDF for joining hands with HKNS for the programme.

 Mr Pius Kalathil, Director GREMALTES Hospital said: “the society need to take care of the leprosy patients and many people should come forward to support them so that many deserving patients will get the benefits”.

Mr S. Sreeram, Manager, IDF said “IDF has been supporting many projects throughout India for last several decades and we will continue to help the sick and needy people”

 Blankets, Biscuits, Fruits, Paste, and Soaps distributed to the Leprosy affected persons who are also affected by floods in Chennai!

Earlier Mr Sreenivasalu, Health Education Officer, GREMALTES Hospital welcomed the gathering  Ms T. Vincy, Counsellor, GREMALTES  proposed a vote of thanks.

Binding Goodness.......

The NSS volunteers of J.M.Patel College, Goregaon (W), Mumbai handed over notebooks for IDF Bal Gurukul projects. The volunteers gathered unused pages from the notebooks mobilized from various sources and bounded them into new notebooks. As part of their NSS activity (National Service Scheme of Mumbai University), the volunteers - Alok Labh and Akhil Patel - visited IDF office and presented 75 notebooks for the cause.

Salutations to all the NSS volunteers and supporters for this act of kindness.

Goodness beyond boundaries

Mr. Karan Kohli, IDF-USA Social Ambassador visited IDF India on 4-2-16 and presented the contributions mobilized by Team IDF USA for different sponsorships/ scholarships. Team Indian Development Foundation thank Mr. Cecil O Joseph, and friends of IDF USA for their constant support to various social causes.
