IDF - L&T Educational Programme was organized at Government High School, Cox Town, Bengaluru on 26-06-2015 where girl-children from very needy families received scholarships. IDF thank Team L&T for sponsoring needy children. Team L&T felt extremely happy to provide the timely assistance.

Goodness Unlimited - Project Aashayein

Students received school bags from Nielsen
Team IDF - Adhiraj and Satendra Prasad - visited St. Catherine's Primary School, Veera Desai, Andheri (West), Mumbai and distributed schoolbags to 250 students on 15th June 2015. The schoolbags were donated by Nielsen as part of their Nielsen Global Impact Day (NGID-2015). Indian Development Foundation conveys special thanks to Team Nielsen for supporting education projects. All the students felt extremely happy as they received the gifts. The Headmistress of the school and students convey their gratitude for spreading happiness.

Interns honoured for social work
Marianne Cherian and Ashwini Sale from Premlila Vithaldas Polytechnic, S.N.D.T. Women's University, Mumbai completed their one-month internship with Indian Development Foundation on 11th May 2015 to 11th June 2015. Marianne and Ashwini doing Diploma in Administration Services from S.N.D.T. Women's University decided to join IDF and covered health, education and development projects during their internship.
IDF appreciates the social concern of the young interns, who learn a lot during their internship with the Foundation.

Nielsen Global Impact Day 2015
Nielsen Global Impact Day - 2015. Nielsen Team visited Vimala Centre, Versova, Andheri (West), Mumbai on 11th June 2015 as part of their Global Impact Day organized annually. Indian Development Foundation's health and education projects (Bal Gurukuls) were selected for the Nielsen Global Impact Day. The social champions from Nielsen visited Vimala Centre @ Andheri, Mumbai as part of their global social impact day. The visiting team distributed note-books, stationaries, food and gifts. The team spent a good amount of time with the Vimala children and also with the leprosy-inmates of the centre. The Social Outcome of NGID was fun, joy and happiness. Our special thanks to Team NIELSEN for selecting IDF projects.

World Environment Day - Awareness Rally @ Marina Beach, Chennai - 05-06-2015
‘”People from all walks of life should realize the gravity of the situation following global environmental challenges like climate change, global warming and pollution and join hands to protect mother earth from the dangers of pollution” observed Mr. Thomas Franco Rajendra Dev, Secretary & Correspondent, S.B. I. O. A Educational Trust, Chennai. “Various types of environmental pollution such as water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution, soil pollution, etc. are disturbing the ecosystem and causing a variety of health hazards to human beings and animals. Environmental pollution is damaging the ecosystem and destroying its delicate balance; we should realize our mistakes and develop concern for environment protection by keeping it clean, safe and secure for a healthy life.” he added.
Speaking on the occasion of Environment Awareness Rally organized by Indian Development Foundation at Marina Beach on World Environment Day 2015, he stressed the need for people, especially the youth, to protect the environment and make the world a better place to live. “Students must be aware of environment protection and spread the message on ways to protect the environment so that we can save the world from pollution” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. S. Sreeram, Manager – TN & Pondy said “It is every one’s responsibility to protect the environment and World Environment Day is truly a people's day, providing an opportunity for everyone, young and old, with their community or with close friends, to show that they care for the planet. We also distributed 1000 saplings to the participants and general public.” he added.
Indian Development Foundation organized an environment awareness rally with the theme Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care. The awareness rally was flagged off by Mr. Thomas Franco Rajendra Dev and exhorted people to participate in big way.
Students from S.B.O.A. School & Junior College, Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Madambakkam, Sivanthi Mat. Hr. Sec. School, Ramapuram, St. Raphel’s Girls Hr. Sec. School, Santhome, Sree Shanthi Anand Vidyalaya, Thirumudivakkam, Billroth College of Nursing, Maduravoyal, Staff of Standard Chartered Bank and many social activists also participated in the awareness rally holding placards conveying messages on environment protection.

Health camps and blood donation camp - Villages Telangana
Indian Development Foundation (IDF) organised mega health camps and blood donation camps in Suryapet town and Anantharam villages in Nalgonda district on the occasion of Telangana State formation First year celebrations (03-06-2015)
Youth in the villages participated and volunteered excitingly to donate blood. Large number of villagers came and availed the services in the health camp.
For the First time people of Anantharam village donated blood. They felt very proud and wanted us to conduct health camps and awareness programs regularly.
Appreciations to Telangana social foundation, Osmania hospital blood bank And Continental hospital from Hyderabad and Nalgonda district area hospital blood bank for helping us to conduct the camps.

Social Engineers for a Cause
Congratulations to Team DJSCOE-IDF Student Clubfor completing 1 year of social projects. The students of DJ Sanghvi College of Engineering came together and formed IDF Social Club to spread the message of goodness. Marathon, Science Sessions, Health awareness, Clean-up Drive, Mission W2K, Volunteering, Teaching were some of the projects taken up during the year. Misha Sheth and Janvi Shah visited IDF office on 03/06/2015 to hand over the report and contributions for the year.
